1. About these terms
These terms cover use of the NRG Personal Training website, operated by Eric Douglas in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, including resources, client accounts, workout tools, and the public Progress Wall. By using these features, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Your separately agreed training contract controls the specifics of paid services, including fees, scheduling, cancellation, and any informed-consent or participation forms. This page does not replace that agreement or remove any consumer rights provided by law. If a service agreement conflicts with these website terms on a service-specific issue, the service agreement controls, subject to applicable law.
2. Coaching services and professional scope
NRG offers 1:1 in-person training, online coaching, and hybrid programs. Depending on the option agreed with you, services may include exercise programming, movement and technique coaching, workout tracking, check-ins, video form review, and general nutrition and habit education.
Personal training and educational resources do not diagnose or treat disease or injury and do not replace medical care, physical therapy, mental-health care, or individualized medical nutrition therapy. Nutrition guidance stays within general fitness education and the coach's qualifications. Medical diets, treatment plans, and condition-specific questions should be addressed with an appropriately licensed clinician or registered dietitian.
Recommendations are based on the information you provide. Keep your coach informed about relevant limitations and changes that could affect your ability to exercise. Do not use the site as a medical record system or an emergency service.
3. Exercise risks and your participation
Exercise involves risks, including soreness, strains, falls, equipment-related injury, and potentially serious injury. Your health, technique, surroundings, equipment, and training intensity affect those risks. Review any concerns about beginning or changing exercise with a qualified healthcare professional, and obtain clearance when recommended.
- Use suitable equipment and a clear, safe training space. Follow instructions, stay within your current ability, and ask for clarification or a modification when needed.
- Stop exercising if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, or other concerning symptoms. Seek appropriate medical help; for an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
- Online coaching and uploaded logs are not continuously monitored. During remote workouts, your coach may not be present to assess conditions or provide immediate assistance.
Progress varies with starting point, consistency, recovery, health, and other factors. No particular weight change, strength gain, appearance, or completion date is guaranteed. Testimonials and Wall posts describe individual experiences.
4. Rates, scheduling, and cancellation
Your dashboard shows the package assigned after agreement with your coach. Review the included services, amount, and billing schedule before proceeding to Stripe’s hosted checkout. A one-time package collects the displayed payment once. A monthly plan requires your explicit agreement before enrollment and renews automatically at the displayed monthly amount until canceled. Selecting training preferences or having a package assigned does not charge you.
For an enrolled monthly plan, the dashboard links to Stripe to update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel renewal at the end of the current billing period. You may also request a hold with a return date. A request does not change billing until your coach approves it. An approved hold pauses collection until the return date and keeps the normal billing schedule; resuming does not itself create an immediate catch-up charge. Hold controls do not automatically refund or prorate an existing payment. Your account and billing history remain available during a hold.
See the Training page for program information. Before payment, NRG will confirm the applicable rate, included services and sessions, billing schedule, commitment length, and any additional charges. Scheduling is subject to mutual confirmation and availability.
Package expiration, late cancellation, missed-session charges, rescheduling, refunds, and termination are governed by the terms disclosed and agreed before purchase and by applicable law. Contact Eric.Douglas@NRG-PT.com for a cancellation or billing request and follow any applicable notice instructions in your service agreement. This website does not impose an additional cancellation fee or a blanket no-refund rule.
Recurring charges require your express agreement. Creating an account, sending an inquiry, or viewing a rate does not authorize a payment. Price updates on the site do not retroactively change an existing agreed package. Any non-waivable cancellation or refund rights, including rights under Pennsylvania law when applicable, remain in effect.
5. Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials private, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly. Use only your own account. If you are under 18, have a parent or guardian contact NRG before arranging training or providing fitness or health details.
Do not attempt to access another person's records, bypass access controls, upload malicious files, impersonate someone, send spam, harass others, or disrupt the site. NRG may remove prohibited content or restrict account access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect users. Account restrictions do not eliminate any rights you have under a paid service agreement or applicable law.
6. Your content and the Progress Wall
You retain ownership of your submitted text, photos, and other original content. You give NRG permission to store and process that content to provide the features you choose. When you elect to publish to the Progress Wall, that permission includes displaying the submitted post and associated name and avatar publicly. It does not authorize separate advertising use.
Only submit content you have the right to share, including permission from other identifiable people. Do not post confidential information, misleading claims, unlawful material, or abusive content. NRG may moderate or remove posts that violate these terms.
Delete your own Wall posts with the available controls or contact NRG for help. Removing a private training log does not remove a separately shared Wall post. Public copies made by others may remain after removal. The Privacy Policy explains public avatars, private records, and your choices in more detail.
7. Site materials and external resources
NRG's original branding, website materials, and coaching programs are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may use materials supplied to you for your personal training. Do not resell, publish, or commercially distribute them without permission, except as otherwise allowed by law. Third-party names and materials belong to their respective owners.
External links are provided for convenience and education. NRG does not control those websites, their availability, or their privacy practices. A link does not create a professional relationship with its publisher or guarantee that its advice fits your circumstances.
8. Availability and legal rights
The website may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, or provider interruptions. Keep a copy of training instructions you need for an upcoming session and contact your coach if account access is interrupted. Website availability is not a substitute for the services promised in your training agreement.
Nothing on this page waives liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, requires you to waive statutory consumer protections, or prevents you from using available legal remedies. Questions about an agreed service or a concern should be sent to NRG so it can be addressed.
9. Updates and contact
Updates will be posted here with a revised date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required. Updated website terms do not retroactively change an existing paid agreement without the agreement or notice required by law.
